A Couple of months before my thirteenth birthday, my parents
took a friend, my sister & I to see the Osmonds in concert. I still have my whole ticket, because my Dad was friends with the
auditorium manager, and we went in through his office. :o)

I know these photo's aren't very clear, but the concert was so awesome, and these photo's represent that long ago memory. I was already a bit of an Osmond Fan, but after seeing them in person, they became a very large part of my life. I had a fit if anyone
even suggested going anywhere on Friday nights, during the time the Donny & Marie Show was on! This was before VCR's, so I used to record the show on audio cassettes with my little recorder up to the TV speaker. I thought I was so smart & original! After finding other Osmond Fans online, I've found out there were quite a few of us who did that! So much for my originality!
One summer when I was taking English in summer school, I had an assignment to write a poem about a color. Well, of course I chose purple! I was having trouble trying to come up with a whole poem though, so I asked my Mom for help. I think I might have come up with the first part & my Mom the last part, but I'm, not totally sure since it has been so long ago. Anyway, this is so embarrassing, but I think it is so funny! I'm sure a lot of people will just think it is stupid, but for those who appreciate innocent humor, you should get a kick out of this! I've never forgotten the words, here goes:
Purple is Donny Osmond's socks;
Purple is cool and it even rocks.
When I see purple, it makes me think,
that Donny's feet just could not stink!
Here is a small glimpse of what my bedroom walls looked like during this 'era'. :o)
I know these pictures look rather odd, but I had to crop them to where my friend & sister weren't in them. They were being silly kids & they'd probably take great pleasure in hurting me if I put those photo's on the internet! I even had Donny & Marie pictures that were double sided hanging from the ceiling with string! I loved my walls. . .I thought I'd done an excellent job of decorating!
